Chess Set - Walnut, Leopardwood, Curly Maple

An elegant complete chess set, with modern pieces entirely designed and made by us. Leapardwood and Curly Maple make up the game surface and pieces with Walnut and Curly Maple combining for the rest of the box and trim. 

Brass accents on the Kings and Queens evoke the presence of royal adornments. Shallow recesses in the box serve as storage for the pieces when stowed away. They're just deep enough to keep the pieces in place, but shallow enough that the pieces can be on display when in place, or the grain of the box base itself can be shown off when emptied. 

Curly Maple liners provide a contrasting relief between box and lid that match the Curly Maple splines. 

A lacquer finish protects this wonderful piece.
